The Wood Explorer covers up to 1,648 species, including more than 2,000 high-quality images, and over 15,000 common names. Access the accumulated data of more than 1,200 wood books from across the world, all combined in an easy-to-use database for your phone and computer.
Amazingly powerful search features let you choose from any combination of 50 different properties, with species data covering more than 70 properties per species, including woodworking properties (sawing, bending, planing, etc.), physical properties (grain, color, texture, odor, etc.), numerical properties (bending strength, impact strength, hardness, specific gravity, etc.), and general properties (common names, common uses, location, environmental profile, etc.)
The Wood Explorer covers all the worlds most important commercial species, including 500 from Africa, 400 from Latin America, 825 from Southeast Asia and Oceania, 200 from North America, and 50 from Europe.
