Monuments, man-made or naturally-formed, are demonstrations of life that is twined between the extremes of order and randomness. Monuments are the memoirs of life, preserved for the posterity to draw lessons, to stay alert and to refrain from the same mistakes. Monuments are the visiting-cards of the super-natural that governs our life. By preserving them we are preserving our life, lessons and guidelines for living.
This application lists all the endangered monuments listed by the World Monument Fund in the 2008 list. Awareness, you would agree, is the first step towards preserving our heritage.
As socially responsible organizations and individuals, don’t you think we should pass our wonderful possessions to the future?
