Multiplayer crashes frequently.

Frustrating

Fun but frustrating... Mostly play the 10,000 game and there is an obvious favoritism for the CPU... I know this probably sounds whiney but play the game and youll see!

Awful! Crashes! Dont buy this. You will be very disappointed!

Fun, but computer cheats!

Ccbscott · 13 years ago

Mainly play the 10,000 game, which is fun, but the computer opponent definitely has an advantage. In game after game after game the computer gets 1s and 5s nearly every time they need them.

Addictive

I havent had any of the crashing issues a few other reviewers have mentioned. I also havent really tried to play global opponents via Bluetooth or Game Center (the few times I have true Game Center there seemed to be a lack of opponents). The yatzy set up is fine (though no double/triple yatzy bonus or option to use 2nd yatzy as full house, straight, etc). The 10,000 game (which you may know as "farkle"), however, is compulsively addictive. I just play against computer and it seems to be pretty evenly matched with truly random dice rolls (and this is after playing A LOT of games). The 3rd game seems like a less interesting version of yatzy and I never play it. Only complaint is that it plays LOUD sound at start-up even when in silent mode with no option to turn that off. I dont know why game designers even think anybody would ever want chimes when the game is starting up (with company logo--it does NOT make me think good things about the company, it builds resentment). However, if you are reopening a paused game, or at the "rematch" screen, it will usually just open on the screen you left on without noise. Also, movie animation plays sound even when in silent, but I would recommend the "dice" animation anyway. Gameplay is quick but you can easily play many times in a row, so its good for quickly killing time while waiting in line or on longer commutes.
