Order a taxi cab in Vancouver, and surrounding communities in British Columbia from Yellow Cab Vancouver using your iPhone, iPad, or iPod Touch – 24 hours a day, 365 days a year!! Fast, convenient, and easy to use. Use a map to select your pick-up location, and track the location of your taxi. Receive notification alerts about the status of your booking, and when your taxi arrives. TAXI BOOKING FEATURES: • Request a taxi cab right now, or select a future date and time for pick-up. • Don’t know your location? – Send the taxi to your current GPS position. • You can also tap a location on a map, or type in a pick-up address. • Select a pickup or drop-off address from your phone’s Contacts list. • Save a pick-up address as a favorite, and use it for future bookings. • Select booking options for your cab (wheelchair accessible, pet-friendly, etc.) • Get a fare estimate based on map distance between pickup and destination. • Send additional info the driver – type a message, up to 255 characters. • A confirmation message lets you know your booking request was accepted. • Push notifications alert you when your cab is on the way, and when it has arrived. • Push notification alerts you if your cab is late. You can choose to keep waiting or cancel the booking. TRACKING FEATURES: • Display the current location of your taxi on a map. • Cancel a booking. • Display up to three previous bookings made with your mobile device. • Tap a button to make a phone call to Yellow Cab Vancouver (if app is installed on an iPhone). Pathetic

About an hour ago I tried calling Yellow Cab for a pickup in Kitsilano, but the line was continually busy. Remembering that they now have an iPhone app I downloaded it, entered the information and ordered a cab. The order was immediately accepted. I waited for 15 or 20 minutes, only to then receive a message stating that the cab had been canceled. No explanation, no apology. Absolute waste of time.

Cant request a phone call

You still need to call them to assure you get a phone call when they show up. There is no way to know that they will call. Yes, if you are standing around you dont need to wait on the phone and can wait on the street its fine. If you were hoping for service similar to calling the app doesnt deliver.

Ive used this for a couple of months now (with only one delayed cab) and will always use it over calling. Very quick and you can track your cabs location! Brilliant.

Just used it for the first time. Once a cabbie accepts your fare you can track the cabs location on the way to you. Didnt have to repeat where I was going - he already knew cause I put in the address. I was able to time in perfectly so that when he pulled up I just stepped outside of the restaurant I was at. Wasnt sure it was him cause his "available" light was on. Pretty impressed though!

Makes taking a taxi a much better experience

This app is a huge improvement over phoning for a cab, as you get confirmation and feedback on where the taxi is that has agreed to pick you up. That avoids the horrible uncertainty that makes phoning such an annoyance, and it allows you to accurately estimate time to arrival. The app also phones you that the cab has arrived (although its often a minute or two late). There are a few things that should be improved, such as more frequent update of the map, and more precise timing of the phone call, but this makes taking a taxi fun again. Vancouver also needs to allow more cabs on the road to avoid long waits at busy times.

Favourites does not work

I cant figure out how to save my favourite pick-up addressed (e.g. My home address and office address). The GPS function gets my address wrong 50% of the time.

I dont know how people still call and wait for dispatch to take their calls. I will never call yellow cab ever again...only use this app
