ZenGas is interactive, meditative art for the iPad.
As the balls tumble and collide down and around the screen, their impacts create a soothing audiovisual show. Since the music is aleatoric - "chance" music - the sound effect is different from moment to moment, every time the program is launched. The more the balls collide, the faster the audio alters. Or hold your device level to calm things down.
Under your Settings for the app, choose the number of balls and their size. Pick exactly your favorite color using RGB sliders. Select an audio ambiance from one of five choices. Then launch the app to synthesize your personalized ZenGas, and enjoy!
The name of the app is a play on the Japanese term "zenga", the Zen arts of painting and calligraphy.
