Description
Have you ever looked at an irregular shape with various colors and wondered "How much of that is red"? If so then AreaPercent is for you. Using the built in camera of an iPhone or iPad the user takes a picture of the object of interest, then traces over the image with up to five colors. The percentages of each color to the whole traced is then calculated by pressing the Area button. The results are saved to a csv file and may be uploaded using the File Sharing mode of iTunes. Accuracy is a matter of skill at finger painting and the users interpretation of what they are seeing. For larger areas it is suggested that an external wide angle lens would help to capture a wider area.
