Simple, just what I wanted
I just needed a simple calculator to know the approximate monthly payments. It doesnt hurt to know this information when you are at the dealership. Knowledge is power. Dont be unprepared when the car salesman tries to manipulate the numbers making you think you are paying less than you really are.
Buggy
Bugs out when you try to enter a zero interest loan. Also wont let you select number of payments. Weird.
Best Car Loan Calculator
I see a review below where the person says "It bugs out when you try and enter a zero percent loan". What do you need a financial calculator for to price a 0% loan?? Take the loan amount and divide it by the total number of payments on a regular calculator fella!! Ive been in the business for over 20 years and this is the app I choose to help me & my clients every day. Other apps will have input lines for sales tax, trade amount, down payment amount & payoff amount. You dont need that! It all comes down to how much am I financing, whats the interest rate & for how many years. All that other stuff will only confuse you and possibly cause you to walk out of the dealership only to find out later your salesperson was telling you the truth. You just entered .7 instead of 7 percent. Only items this app is missing is a prepayment option. If you wanted to know how quicker you would payoff your 5 yr loan off by paying an extra $50 towards the principle loan balance every month. Add that and you will have the perfect car buying app!!
