Description
The Blowfish Asthma Coach is used in an observational pilot study in Stavanger, Norway, and results will support the planning of a subsequent main study on the clinical relevance of the Asthma Whistle
The Asthma Whistle consists of a piece of hardware and a comprehensive software solution. The hardware device is handed out to study participants in Stavanger, Norway. The app does not yield meaningful results without this key hardware.
The proposed medical device is a strong alternative to replace the existing antiquated and difficult-to-use PEF-meter.
In order for the Asthma Whistle to be used in a clinical capacity, it must first be assessed whether it is feasible to use daily by a child assisted by his/her parent(s). The objective of the study is therefore to assess the compliance to data collection during a one-month follow-up of a cohort of children with asthma.
