The simplest way to track your Fitness and Health
-Body Mass Index (BMI) is a persons weight in kilograms divided by the square of height in meters. A high BMI can be an indicator of high body fatness. BMI can be used to screen for weight categories that may lead to health problems but it is not diagnostic of the body fatness or health of an individual.
-The Basal Metabolic Rate (BMR) is the amount of energy you need while resting in a temperate environment during the post-absorptive state, or when your digestive system is inactive. In such a state, your energy will be used only to maintain your vital organs, which include the heart, lungs, kidneys, the nervous system, intestines, liver, lungs, sex organs, muscles, and skin. The BMR decreases with age and increases with muscle mass.
-The body fat percentage (BFP) of a human or other living being is the total mass of fat divided by total body mass; body fat includes essential body fat and storage body fat. Essential body fat is necessary to maintain life and reproductive functions.
-Your lean body mass is the amount of weight you carry on your body that isnt fat. The goal of any bodybuilder or fitness enthusiast is to drop weight while keeping your lean body mass the same.

I like the app, just wish it would record BMR to the Health App!
Effective but Obstructive Ads
The calculator does what it says it does. The interface isn’t elegant, but it is functional. App does sync with Healthkit (one of the few I found that does). I knock 3 stars off because of the obnoxious ad that pops up (especially when you tell the app to sync with Healthkit. It’s not only an autoplay video ad that overlays the whole screen but it is on a 5 second timer, and the ad plays very loudly. So any time you want to do anything significant with the app, you have to sit through a 5 second commercial to do so. Frankly, for the calculator alone, I would have been happy to pay the $0.99. As it now stands, this is an interim app. (Oh, and I will never use the app that is shilled in the ad. I loathe autoplay ads and will shun any product that uses that tactic). If obnoxious, intrusive audio ads don’t bother you, then the app itself is fine, though as I said, not exactly refined as far as UI.
