BrightHearts is an interactive artwork and biofeedback relaxation training app, that enables you to see and hear changes in your heart rate and heart-rate-variability, in real time.

BrightHearts is an interactive artwork and heart rate biofeedback app, design for use with Bluetooth 4.0 heart rate sensors.
BrightHearts combines real-time biofeedback data with stunning visuals and soothing sounds to help you relax, relate, and reflect on your bodys stress and relaxation reflexes. Its designed to help you to sense decreases in your heart rate, which are associated with your bodys natural rest-digest nervous system reflex.
Instructions
Before using the app, check if f your heart rate sensor has a ‘heart rate variability’ mode (e.g. Scoche Rythm+) - if it does, make sure this is enabled.
Once the app detects your pulse with your Bluetooth 4.0 heart rate sensor, it will set a baseline heart rate measurement based on your heart rate at the start of the session. As your heart rate slows down, youll hear bells chime, see circles contract towards the centre of the screen, and watch colours shift from red to blue. You can experiment with muscle relaxation, slow exhales, and even explore how you can alter your heart rate with thoughts, feelings, memories, posture, and gentle movement.
