Description
City Traces is a project that been developed by a team of researchers to study movement patterns in Australian cities. The City Traces App is a GPS tracking app designed specifically for the City Traces project as part of the State of Design Festival, Melbourne, July 20 – 31, 2011.
This app will trace your movements over the State of Design festival. The data that you create with this app will be anonymised and depersonalised and then used alongside other users traces to create collective visualisations of movements around the festival. These visualisations will be available online to view at http://www.citytraces.com.au at the completion of the festival.
GPS tracks and demographics that you send to us with the City Traces App will be securely stored by The Australian Centre for Cultural Environmental Research (AUSCCER) at the University of Wollongong.
