Crossword Master is designed to help you solve crossword puzzles, anagrams and other word games such as Scrabble™ or Literati™. Its powerful, iPhone/iPod optimized search engine allows you to use periods (.) for blanks and lets you find matching words very fast. Example: You need an eight letter word that starts with a "B" and ends with a "C"? Just type "B......C" and Crossword Master will show a list of found matches immediately. Crossword Master contains 3 word-sets you can choose from: 1. General word-set containing over 350 000 single english words 2. TWL word-set compatible with the Srabble™ Official Tournament and Club Word List (used in the USA, Canada and Thailand) containing 178 691 english words 3. SOWPODS word-set compatible with the Official Scrabble™ Words: International Edition (used in the most countries except the USA, Thailand and Canada) containing 267 751 english words. With Crossword Master you can also easily find out if a word is valid for your crossword/game or not. Just type in the complete word to find out if it matches. Crossword Master also contains an integrated web view for fast access to the WordNet 3.0 dictionary online search. Just tap the corresponding disclosure button and it will start the online search to find your word and show the WordNet resultpage. (WordNet is a very large semantic lexicon for the English language. It contains more than 150 000 words.) Powerful and easy to use, Crossword Master is a must have for everyone who loves word based games and puzzles.

Great idea

If you like crosswords, this is great when you get stuck. Would be perfect if or included placenames and famous people, maybe next version?

Its a little hard to learn how to use it and its a little clumsy at first, but I am glad to have a crossword puzzle I can fit in my shirt pocket. As a guy who spends most of the year on the road (a trucker) Crossword Master is very welcome, but I hope the developers can refine and make easier its use

I would give it less than one star if I could...

Not sure what has happened but the app no longer works. Avoid at all cost until developer fixes issue. According to the last update this app has not been updated in almost a year.

I cant believe how dumb people are. Ive read reviews on these types of apps and people think these are games or should be dictionaries. First, what do people that barely have a grasp on English language want with word and crossword games to begin with? Secondly, there are plenty of games and dictionaries in the app store that state thats what they are! Work on your reading comprehension before pressing the buy button, and stop giving bad reviews for your ignorance.... If you sometimes need a little help with a word in a crossword, this app is fine.

The dictionary screen can not reduced to fit the screen as shown in the description so its hard to use. Reported problem got no response
