Disney: Mickeys Typing Adventure at Mac App Store analyse

The narrator (the little bearded fellow in the third picture) promised that, when leaving the typing adventure, progress would be saved. I hate to call him out, but when I exited the adventure and the software, then returned the following day, my user name and game progress had vanished. I havent had to leave a video game running to save my progress since the days of regular Nintendo. Must fix this issue. If it helps, Im on version OS X 10.8.2

Ive tried just about every typing software out there. Some are fun but the learning element is mediocre. The reverse is true for others. Id say this is the best balance Ive seen. Who doesnt like Mickey and Disney characters? When my kids "play" this they love the animated story and cant stop because they want to see what happens next in the adventure. Before long they are learning how to type. They especially love the typing games. I was quite impressed with this product and the results from my kids in such a short time and Im not easily impressed. I wish I had this when I was a kid. Another reviewer said your progress is not saved but Ive never had a problem with this and I have 3 users in my family (12 yrs, 6 yrs, and myself). I have other software from this company and I know their tech support is helpful so maybe that reviewer should contact them.

As an elementary teacher I am always interested in finding new and engaging ways to teach my students. Typing is an essential skill for students to learn, now at an earlier age with so much technology surrounding the learning process. Im impressed with the education behind this highly entertaining and fun typing tutor. My own children (ages 6 and 8) are crazy about this program - and learning to type correctly. Im hoping there is a classroom version I can use with my 4th grade students.

I just bought that typing software for my 9 year old. He loves it! Games are fun. They can be easy at first but they can be challenging too. There are enough settings/levels and typing plans to last for a long time as you get better. Personally, I like the story/adventure based approach to it. With the Disney characters involved and a great theme, the story is fun to follow and I think it motivated my son to go forward to see whats next. To go to next With all the nice animations, my 3 year old is really interested too. Obviously, he is a little young to play and be very accurrate but he likes to see the games and the scenes with Mickey, Pluto, Goofy, Donald, Mini and Daisy, etc Very visually appealling for kids. I really recommend this product, it met my expectations and more! But the real test was my kids and they love it so it must be good!

Ive never gotten the application to load. the developer web site "Submit a tech request" form gives a server error on submit. - MBP 17 late 2011, 16Gb i7. Mountain Lion

Downloaded this with no problems on my son’s Mac. We watched the game intro movie and he couldn’t wait to get started. That was a couple days ago. He has reached the mine with Goofy and loves it. I appreciate the clever design of the game as he is learning to type correctly and increasing his speed and accuracy as he progresses – now up to 25 words per minute. The last results screen show him at 86% accuracy. He can try other game plans this summer and get even better at the keyboard before he starts middle school in the fall.

I am a teenager and I bought this product to brush up on my typing skills. I really enjoyed it and improved my typing by 20 wpm!! The characters are adorable and all the activities and games were extremely fun and beneficial. By the time I reached the palace at the end of the game I was at 70 wpm!This product would be great for any age learning to type and really gets you into the disney spirit.
