You can purchase tickets by entering your place of departure and arrival, either in the form of a stop, address, or place. You can also pick the zones you wish to travel from and to on the map. The 2-8 zones fast purchase is relevant for you, if you know how many zones you need from where you are. You can use that feature, if you give the app your permission to localization (GPS) so that the app can determine your start zone. Giving your permission to localization, which is voluntary, can also help you determine your location on the map versus your tickets validity area. Monthly passes can be purchased by entering your place of departure and arrival. You can also pick the zones manually on the map if you travel between 2 and 8 zones.
