Description
What makes Fast Tracker different from other Chicago transit apps is its simplicity. It detects which El station is closest to you, and immediately — right when you open the app — it brings up the CTA mobile site information for the trains at that station. You dont have to navigate through a series of menus to find the station you want. You arent limited to just the few stations youve identified as favorites. You dont even have to know where you are! Fast Tracker detects your location and instantly shows you the train schedule for the nearest station.
You also have the option to limit the search to a single line. (For instance: What if you only care about the nearest Blue line stop?) And in case you find yourself in unfamiliar territory, a map is available that shows where you are in relation to the nearest stop.
Arrival times are also available as a widget in the Today screen and on Apple Watch.
So the next time youre standing on the platform and wondering when the train will arrive, dont bother navigating through unnecessary menus. Just launch Fast Tracker, and it will instantly tell you what you want to know.
