Garden Tracker lets you size and plan your garden plots, plant your vegetables, and then track your garden’s progress, including days to harvest, days since watered, and days since last fertilized. All this info is conveniently referenced in a grid you design.

To plant:
1. Select a square in the grid by clicking on it
2. Right-click on the square and click "Plant". On a laptop, press the trackpad with 2 fingers.
3. Select "Plant" from the menu
4. Select a plant in the window that appears, then press either "Plant Seed" or "Plant Seedling". Planting by seedling subtracts 15 days from the days to harvest.

Garden Tracker (iOS version) was featured in the April 2013 issue of Wired magazine!

Also included in the Best Gardening Apps of a major national newspaper!

To plant your vegetables, click and drag on the squares in your garden grid, then select one of the vegetables in the popup, and then click on the "Plant Seed" or "Plant Seedling" buttons.

To add plants, click the "Window" menu and then "Plants". Then either click the + button in the lower left of that window, or duplicate a plant using the gear button. The pre-loaded plants can be used as templates for all the different varieties that exist. If you have an issue, please contact us on the support page of our website, or see the online help.

A True Waste

This program must be a joke with the punch line of futility. The program states that it lets you keep track of the your garden. When you do create your layout the program will not let put the "plant" in the spot it is supposed to go or anywhere else. There is no help or explanations of any kind. I know it was only five dollars, but I would rather use it for an ice cream cone.

Very nice!

The new in-depth guide in the Help is useful. This mac version is better than the iphone one because I can make the garden larger.

A decent start but needs a new update for spring!

If you are new to square foot gardening and looking for a simple planning tool this is not a bad little app. If you only use your desktop computer to track your garden this is a program you can own for $5 and not be stuck with the $20-a-year subscription, internet-only garden planner. As a simple-to-use square-foot garden planner/tracker this app does the job. If you have more experience in the garden this app will leave you wanting updates just because it has a great, simple, straightforward design that is quick and easy to use AND you can own it for $5. Im hoping it catches up and evenually lets me sync with the mobile version. The mobile version is a bit different but it tracks when I need to do tasks like watering and harvesting quite well. This was one of the first apps of its kind I purchased better than a year ago and I would love to see them bring it to the next level. Until then, "Fully customizable" is a bit of a stretch of reality. You can input other vegetables, etc. but there is not a space for variety names. You can indicate whether you are growing a vegetable, flower, herb or fruit but not a grain. You cant change any of the headings such as recommeded varieties, companion plants, incompatible with, etc. I dont need to have varieties suggested. I already know what Im planting. I have deleted the suggested varieties and put in the one Im using and have made a mental note that under the suggested variety header I will find the variety Im planting this year…for every plant Im growing. There is one generic note space but there are so many things that have to fit in it starting with my source of seed, etc. I would love to see other customizable note headings. If these updates appear I will update my rating to 5 stars in a heartbeat!

Great Start

Only thing that is time consuming is layout of rows. . Would be neat to be able to keep track of vendor for seed. Be able to put in vendor info and be able to select in the plant info. Be able to save file and open it in the future.

Good Start

There are so many things I want to do with this program. But for what you offer, its a nice start. I cant tell if it keeps track of first, second and third, etc. plantings and crop rotation suggestions, but those would be nice as well.

Useless Ripoff

The moment I opened this app after having purchased it, I wished I could get my money back. It provides nothing you couldnt set up on spreadsheet yourself in a few minutes. I am amazed it was allowed to be sold, since it degrades my confidence that these apps have been vetted for usefulness. I am really disgusted.
