Genome - explore your DNA in 4 aspects: risk of diseases, inherited conditions, drug reactions, traits (eye color, excess weight, etc.) You can export your DNA from 23andMe. We aggregate scientifically confirmed correlations between DNA markers and diseases or traits. We scan U.S. national medical databases and various science magazines to give you the most up to date reliable information. === DISEASES The Genome app shows 3 types of disease risks, determined by your genome: ● Protective (Found DNA markers that reduce the risk of illness) ● Benign (neither increase nor decrease the risks) ● Pathogenic (more likely to have the disease) === INHERITANCE Certain inherited genetic diseases may be identified by DNA in the carrier. Being a carrier means you have one variant for the condition. Carriers typically dont have the condition but can pass the variant to their children. Knowing your carrier status is important when having children. If you and your partner are both carriers, you may have a child with the condition. The Genome app shows two kinds of results: Non-inherited (your children won’t inherit the condition) Inherited (your children are likely to inherit the condition) IMPORTANT: All information is provided for informational purposes only.
