Accio dictionaries and phrasebooks give you just the words you need. Use this app on iPhone or iPad to access thousands of common German and English translations, and listen to more than 800 words and phrases recorded by native speakers with no internet connection required. Dictionary features: • More than 85,000 entries and 195,000 translations • Parts of speech • German noun genders • Tap any word in the dictionary results to look it up • Find results as you type with quick search, or browse alphabetically • Multiple translations for many entries • Return to recent searches with history Phrasebook features: • Browse categories or search for specific phrases • All phrases include audio recorded by native speakers in addition to the text display • Return to recent searches with history • Easily change search direction with bidirectional look-up • Use the volume controls to adjust play volume Phrase categories include basic conversation, lodging and restaurants, emergency and survival, time, date, and number vocabulary, sightseeing and nightlife, shopping, transportation, and more. ... Aber da ist noch Luft zur Verbesserung. Recht umfassend. Warum erfasst die History nur die letzten 20 Einträge? Schön wäre auch eine Exportfunktion für die History, um die Wörter in einem anderen Programm lernen zu können..

Allein schon die offline-Nutzung des apps ist meiner Meinung nach schon 2€ wert. Wenn man sich die anderen apps anschaut und die Preise vergleicht, sieht man schon das dies vom preis her ein Witz.

From an American living in Germany who communicates on a regular basis with work collegues in German, this is great. No thrills, just a simple German/English English/German dictionary that works great! As a singer I use poetic language in the pieces I do, and this has most everything I need.

Nice job, Accio. This is by far the best English/German dictionary out there on the app store. It is detailed and has genders, adj., verb, noun, etc. LOTS OF ENTRIES! only one beef: The screenshot show there being a phrasebook: Its not there! Theres no phrasebook.

Great! But needs a few more things...

This is a very good dictionary app for anyone going to or from germany or anyone who takes German as a class. I used to have to wait until I got home before I could look up a word because of wifi, but now I can just carry this app around. The only thing this application needs now is essets and umlauts, then it will be perfect!
