Description
HSS Design For Combined Forces is the first app of its kind which evaluates HSS beam-column designs per the American Institute of Steel Construction manual AISC 360-10. This tool will allow structural engineers to perform complex HSS beam-column designs wherever they are with their iPhone or iPad device. The app evaluates HSS members for combined compression, bending, shear, and torsion in a fraction of the time current commercial softwares and spreadsheets require.
Calculations are also provided which allow the user to validate the design separately, or follow along to better understand the code required design procedure. Whether used for training, or to supplement a practicing engineers services, this tool will make the user a better structural engineer.
