The best app for the L system in Chicago. • Tap any station to see LIVE Train Tracker departure times, just like the overhead displays in the station. One touch tells you if you should hurry or stop for a cup of coffee on your way home. • Get step-by-step directions between any two places. iTrans even figures out the best station to walk to and gives you walking directions. • Browse through train schedules for any station. Great for finding that last train on a Saturday night! • Get push alerts for service disruptions, customized to your line and your commute time. this app will find you via gps, but as a traveller to Chicago without 3G it was impossible to find addresses.

Doesnt work anymore

This app used to be great. But for the last year or so, the routing option doesnt work. It will not tell you how to get from Point A to Point B. So it is basically just a map. (Google Maps does the same thing and has directions that work, for free!)

This app is great, I used it during several music festivals in Chicago and it always helped me find the fastest and least busy route home. Id definitely recommend it.
