Description
Transit Maps is an offline viewer for very large images. It can download maps and other large image files in PDF, PNG, JPG, and GIF format from the Internet. It is very fast at displaying complex images and it works when network access is unavailable because it slices and saves the image tiles on the device.
It comes with a sample map of the Philadelphia rail system, but you can delete it and add any maps downloadable on the Internet via the built-in web browser. Only the first page of PDF files will be saved.

Simplement génial !
Permet denregistrer les plans des villes pdf, pour les afficher de manière très agréable ! Indispensable pour Paris (1000x mieux que le plan de lappli RATP en récupérant les plan pdf dispos sur le site) [un défaut cependant : si le pdf a plusieurs pages, parfois il ne considère que la première ]

ma permis de réutiliser des dalles en .png de 16Mpix, provenant dun logiciel de cartographie tournant sous windows. aucun problème une fois que les dalles sont téléchargées et traitées (un peu long, il faut traiter chaque dalle séparément) très bonne appli gratuite
La façon la plus rapide de consulter un plan de métro
Transit Maps prend un plan de métro en PDF (il sagit en général de fichiers très lourds que liPhone a du mal à ouvrir) et le décompose de tel sorte quil soit rapide et agréable à consulter (avec un système de rendu et de zoom proche de lapplication Google Maps). Beaucoup dapplications de type "horaires de métro" proposent aussi des plans, mais celle-ci est plus rapide à charger et plus réactive à utiliser. Et, en bonus, vous pouvez toujours charger des plans dautres villes. (Et cinq ans après avoir rédigé cet avis, je men sers encore.)
Viel zu wenig deutsche Städte, aber die Idee ist gut, werd es im Auge behalten!
Geniales App für die Städteurlaube
Einfach genial. URL eingeben und das pdf, png oder jpg wird gespeichert. Kann daher offline genutzt werden. Habe es in den USA in den Städten genutzt.
Genial - aber etw. Handarbeit ist gefragt
Die App ist genial, einfaches und schlichtes Konzept aber maximaler Nutzen! Wenn man sich die Arbeit macht Fahrpläne oder Netzkarten als PDF oder Grafik manuell einzufügen, dann hat die App einen echten Mehrwert! So kann man viel schneller eine Verbindung raussuchen, wie mit jeder anderen App, weil es einfach ein normaler Fahrplan zum nachgucken ist und es passiert offline! Ich kann es nur empfehlen! [Update] Nach dem Update ist die App etwas übersichtlicher und damit noch besser geworden! Ich nutze sie beinahe täglich und kann sie immer noch uneingeschränkt weiterempfehlen!
