Description

Leafsnap is the first in a series of electronic field guides being developed by researchers from Columbia University, the University of Maryland, and the Smithsonian Institution. This free mobile app uses visual recognition software to help identify tree species from photographs of their leaves. Leafsnap contains beautiful high-resolution images of leaves, flowers, fruits, petioles, seeds, and bark to aid identification. These high-resolution images were created by the conservation organization Finding Species. Leafsnap currently includes trees found in the Northeastern United States and Canada. The inclusion of Canadian trees is through collaboration with the Canadian Wildlife Federation, with support from TD Friends of the Environment Foundation.

Jusquà présent , en wifi ou en 3G, après la prise photo, ça plante direct !!! Alors vivement une mise a jour pour pouvoir juger de lintérêt ou non

I really like the game its a wonderful way to discover trees. Very good database and very easy to use. Jadore les jeux, cest une façon géniale de se familiariser avec les plantes. Bonne base de donnée facilement consultable. Le problème initial avec le logiciel de reconnaissance visuelle à été fixé. Cest la meilleur appli de botanique disponible.

The App quit on me when uploading a photo. When I returned to the app, I tried to upload from my film roll, but it quits everytime I touch the photo album.

Auf so eine App warte ich schon seit langem, wo ich Pflanzen und Tiere mit der Cam scannen kann und die App mir dann sagt, was es ist. Aber das scheint hier, oder zumindest auf Deutsch, noch nicht zu klappen(?)

Ich finde die App gut. Dort sind alle Blätter verzeichnet. Schön wäre es natürlich auch auf Deutsch.
