Description

We have discovered that a very powerful predictor of marital stability is whether couples, particularly husbands, allocate "Cognitive Room" for their relationship and for the world of their partner. Using this information, Dr. Gottman constructed the Love Map Exercise. This fun exercise has 87 questions to help couple develop a "Love Map" of their partners world - their history, concerns, preferences and current issues.

Extremely funny therapy

There are some very good questions for couples in this app that make you think very hard about how well you know each other (e.g., proudest moment, most stressful life event, etc.). However, there are some redundant questions, and some that are sort of silly, so one wonders about whether these are just "filler" sorts of questions. The word "partner" is used exclusively, making me wonder whether the terms "husband" "wife" or even "spouse" are all be terms considered to be in "poor taste" by the author.

Some good conversations came out of the cards. But we ran out of questions very quickly. Very disappointing.

I cant get the app to "turn" pages. So far it has been a one question app. Hopefully an update will correct this bug.

All you get is 86 questions. There should at least be a function to record answers, to help you be mindful while answering, and so that you can do the exercise again later and compare how answers change over time.
