Mendeley (PDF Reader) at Mac App Store analyse

Très bon complément de la version desktop !

Un excellent logiciel bien adapté sur iOS répondant aux besoins de littérature (gestion base de données bibliographiques, association des pdf,...) et de publication (citation, références et styles). Le tout libre gratuitement !

Good start, but fairly useless for now. You cant export a formatted citation into a paper, or even just copy it and paste it in formatted form. Its just a PDF library for now...

Application pouvant être très intéressante, mais pour linstant elle nest pas a la hauteur du Desktop. Problèmes de téléchargement (sarrête à un moment aléatoire et ne termine pas la synchronisation), recherche très longue (provoquant fréquemment des "freeze" de lapplication). Puis il manque pas mal de choses présentent dans la version Desktop : gestion des sous-dossiers, surlignement,... Donc cest un début mais bcp de choses à améliorer pour être réellement utilisée.

The much needed improvement: - being unable to hide the library in the horizontal view is nonsense. On the ipad, when you read something, the idea of the horizontal view is that you increase the font size and reading become nicer than in vertical view. Here, you turn your ipad and then you just get the library and thats it... I personally dont see the point. - the mendeley reader is also a huge step back to any other pdf reader on the ipad. I mean you need to do something specific to scientific papers, thats all the point of mendeley, not just another (worse than the other) pdf reader. All the white space around the text in scientific papers is very easy to detect and could be remove easily. - in general the reading experience is far from what we could expect, and hope. Expect for these points which do not seem impossible to improve, the application looks very promising.

Il manque tellement de choses par rapport à la version desktop, quel dommage : - fonction surlignage et commentaire inexistante (à défaut de pouvoir en ajouter au moins pouvoir consulter celles ajoutées sur ordinateur) - tri des articles impossible - recherche absente - bug présents Permet tout de même de consulter les documents de sa bibliothèque synchronisés. En somme, du positif mais encore beaucoup à faire pour un produit qui sans aucun doute pourrait se montrer fort intéressant !

Cette version plante pendant la synchronisation. Pas possible de lire ces références ajoutées depuis la version desktop car la synchronisation se fait aléatoirement. Cest vraiment décevant. Une mise à jour simpose, SVP.
