Worst app ever...

well - not suitable for batch conversions

Does what is says - But if it guesses the encoding wrong (which happened in my case to 50+% of the files). You have no option but to change the source encoding 1 by 1... no option for select all, and change the source encoding type. Which makes it unfortunately pretty useless for the purpose of batch converting mp3 files... Maybe the next version has an option for cmd+a ...

Does teh job!

I had a metric tonne of music with non-UTF encoded tags in Chinese, Korean, and Japanese. At first I tried to import my entire iTunes library… bad idea, as the program crashed around 1500 songs. I then tried again importing no more than 1000 songs at a time and had luck. As other reviewers have mentioned, some of the guessing of encodings was wrong, but unlike other reviews, I only had this problem with about 5% of songs (mainly Korean songs where both a Korean and English name were included). Anyway, once I was done, I went over to iTunes and did File->Add to Library->"Music/iTunes/iTunes Media" and everything was beautiful! Wishlist: * Handling more files without crashing! * Ability to cmd-c, cmd-v in the app (I did a lot of right clicking to paste the correct encoding on errors). * Ability to manually specify the encoding for multiple songs at once. * Ability to specify what languages you expect encodings to be in (would probably cut down on errors). * Cheaper (I think $1.99 would convince a lot more peeps to buy this). 感谢 jinjing (BTW, your last tweet says youre offline looking for the meaning of life - update us if you find it!)

doesnt work at all

the app just crashes when you drag a file to it

Best Hebrew to UTF-8 app out there...

I had more than 14,000 song with Hebrew tags that would not show properly on iTunes. Using this app I was able to convert all the songs tags in a breeze. Excellent!

Does what I wanted it to do

This app did a good job of converting Chinese MP3 tags into a format readable by iTunes. It doesnt always get it right, but in my usage, it got the job done for the vast majority of songs that otherwise showed up as gibberish in iTunes. The interface is clean and the app proved stable in my limited usage.

Do not buy it

The software doesnot work. I guess the version is just too old…and it is so confusing to get a refund in Apple store… Why cant they just put a refun button at some where ? Very disappointed!!!
