What is the Number System? The number system is an approach to playing music with more emphasis on the scale tone degrees or numbers. In order words, each note in a scale is assigned a number as in C Major scale below; These numbers then become the basis for representing chords and progressions, which can then be applied universally, on ANY KEY. This app uses this wonderful system to convert chord sequences such as C Major, D Minor etc in a particular key into "number system" progression which allows the user to play their progressions/songs in any key by following the scale tone degrees generated by the app based on a selected key!
