Description
OptiCut makes it simple to figure out how much wire youre going to need for a project and how best to use partial spools you already have. Using a one dimensional, linear optimization algorithm, OptiCut turns your lists of pieces of wire needed and partial spools available (if any) into a cut list which you can then email to yourself. It even tells you how much scrap youll have when youre finished.
OptiCut works with any 1D material including: lumber, pipe, rebar, metal bars, or whatever you like. It really doesnt matter what the material is.
ELEC REF OWNERS: OptiCut is also available as part of Elef Ref, our electrical reference utility. Its great for getting the most out of existing spools of wire and figuring out how may additional spools to purchase.
