Description

Why spend hundreds or thousands of dollars on a camera to get average pictures? PhotoHelper lets you take better pictures by optimizing settings on your camera to better suit each particular situation – easily, in seconds, and without a math degree! With a few taps, PhotoHelper lets you enter information about your camera, lighting conditions and the subject you are shooting (including target depth of field needed). It takes this information and automatically tells you how to adjust the settings of your camera to: • Ensure your subject is in focus (i.e. within depth-of-field/hyperfocal range) • Avoid unwanted motion blur as well as over/under exposure • Sidestep common pitfalls such as camera shake and/or grainy pictures You can easily adjust the recommended speed, aperture, ISO, depth-of-field or target exposure parameters - the effect of your changes and potential warnings is displayed in real time. Typical depth-of-field (DOF) calculators provide only partial information, leaving you with the task of finding the right combination of shutter speed, ISO and exposure. PhotoHelper lets you visually see how all these work together – making the process much simpler and faster. Many cameras are different! There are no generic settings - PhotoHelper allows you to get the particular settings for YOUR camera. The included database supports most popular cameras and formats, including Canon, Casio, Fujifilm, HP, Kodak, Leica, Nikon, Olympus, Panasonic, Pentax and Sony. It also provides generic formats for 35mm, Digital SLR, APS-H, APS-C, Medium format, and most compact cameras. The supported lens range is from 2 to 1500mm. If you are interested in a technical description of how PhotoHelper combines depth-of-field, angular velocity and other elements with information about your subject and camera to generate its recommendations, please visit our website! NOTE: This application does NOT use or adjust the camera on the iPhone.

cant take pictures with my phone?

A must for people wanting to master the manual modes of SLRs

Felizdentist · 15 years ago

I am a "photographer-want-to-be" and I am always looking for a way to get better pictures. I figured there had to be an app that could help and came across this one. I bought and have to say, I am very happy I did. It was easy to use and accurate in helping me take some homecoming pictures, as well as pictures at a swim meet. It helped me choose an ISO, aperture and shutter speed and they worked great. Then, I decided to make some changes because I wanted a faster speed and I unlocked the recommendations and was able to see how far I could go. In short, I recommend it for the people that like me, are getting familiarized with the manual settings in their camera and want to take nicer pictures.

Works just as advertised

Great app. It does just what it says it will do. I dont have to figure out how compensate when I make an adjustment. Over time, Im learning how to use my camera better! Worth more than the $$!

Just Loaded this into my iPhone4S

Im getting friends together this weekend for a day and night shoot and will let you know how it goes. So far, so good with the settings shot in my house. Lets see what happens!

Awesome app

lark boyd · 13 years ago

I have used it with my Olympus so I could get to understand it better and it has been very helpful. Most of the things I have read, trying to learn has just said what you should do but not how to do it. This tells you exactly how to set the camera. But now I upgraded to a Nikon D7000. That camera is not on your list. I would feel better I it was. Please and thank you.

Crap

This app is pure crap. Dont buy it, dont believe the fake positive reviews. Not even worth the 1 star, if I could give -0- stars I would.

Great!

Great app! Easy help for DSLR camera settings. ISO, fStop, shutter speed with Depth of Field assistance.
