RingGo: Mobile Car Parking App at Mac App Store analyse

Doesnt support foreign cell phone number so u effectively cannot park Doesnt allow you to recall yr password from an email account so you are screwed if you have changed yr cell number because you are locked out of your own account Cannot see what you are typing for any of your credit card info Really poorly thought out Totally useless crap

Akron, Ohio has RingGo capable parking meters, but this app cant find them.

All the app was good for was to register as a new user on the street with no pc. The service that is a joke in wildwood nj. I registered and called in because like mentioned the app crashes when looking for your spot, you can type location number but not meter number. Didnt matter cause it could not find my location number. So I call in and GREAT it knows my plates make and model.. It has all my info so I pay up $6.50 for 4 hours. I get to the meter about 2 hours later to find it flipped. Luckily I was not ticketed or Id raise hell! If u want to use these RingGo meters bring plenty of quarters our was a quarter for 10 min! Avoid the app and the phone service!!

First off, the app has time zone bugs. If I submit a session at 20:04 local time for 58 minutes, it says that my session will expire at 16:02 and it lists it as already expired as soon as I paid. I notified the developers several weeks ago of this bug but no updates have occurred...and it seems like a pretty big deal of a bug. In addition, the app is cumbersome to use. Since it knows my location, I should be able to type in the location and spot number on the same screen at the same time instead of a several step process to get there. It is too slow for this portion and Im generally several blocks away from the car by the time I have finally made it through the process and paid. But, because of the bug listed above, its already expired anyway. Also, the slider to select amount of time is VERY difficult and temper mental to use and not really the iOS way of entering time. You cant easily pick an exact time because the amount of options is too large for that type of interface element. It should be a dial similar to the built-in clock app. I also noticed that it skips from 59 min to 90 mom with not option to select anything in between. If this is a modern way of paying for parking, I should be able to specify an exact amount of time, even if rounded to 5 min intervals. For example, 75 min should be an option. To give them a little credit, another reviewer said something about the meter flipping over and showing expired. I dont think the meters are linked back to the system. They are "dumb" devices and I think they will show expired even if you paid. If this is truly the case, the app developers need to prominently display this info to ease fears of users.

I found myself short of change. Downloaded the app; registration took 3 minutes and I had parking booked after another 1. No problems so far. I like that I can extend the booking without having to go back to the meter.

Worked one time and has crashed every time thus far. Better to keep change for parking and NOT use Ringo the Dingo app!

I paid using this app today, yet returned to my car and still got a ticket. You would think given the automation of everything that they could cancel the ticket, but no, you have to fill out a form, print it off, and mail it in the post! The form even included the proof that I had paid for parking! Wasted 1 hour of my precious time. Dont use this app!
