Run Tempo can run in the background, allowing you to hear your tempo while using other running apps with audio or music. Includes an optional countdown timer to let you set your tempo that turns off automatically.

This app drains the battery in no time even when its not in use, leaving my phone with zero battery power. I finally resorted to deleting the app after each run, then reinstalling it before the next. Im searching for a better app.

Overall does exactly what u want it to do. I found starting this first then your music works best. But only 4 stars for me if u get a call or pause your music only your music or run tempo will start back up. Unless you get your phone out to start both again. But in saying that if u want a metronome and music this works well.
