Description
North Shields is perhaps one of the most underrated and overlooked towns in the North East of England. The people who live here know that the area is as far from being, ‘desolate’, as it is possible to be. The people of North Shields are proud of their town and their heritage. One has only to follow a Facebook Group such as ‘North Shields Fish Quay Options’ to realise just how proud they are.
North Shields has more beautiful buildings than any other town in North Tyneside, it has a busy port and some very interesting and dynamic companies.
The best way to discover North Shields is on foot, this App provides some idea as to where one might start, but there are many other routes, less well marked that are just as interesting. One has only to walk around with a camera, someone is bound to suggest where you should go next.
