Description

North Tyneside Council have in recent years installed a number of interpretative panels, many of which are on the sea front. This App provides information on how to follow the panels and the text from the panels. The following walks or trails are included: Coastal Heritage Walk and the Waggonway Walks Whitley Bay has many informal trails. Trails which encompass, beautiful streets, an Ice Cream Trail, a Fish and Chips Trail, beautiful nineteenth century churches, beautiful parks. The App suggests some trails that are guided by these features. Being on the East Coast, Whitley Bay offers some spectacular views of sunrises, sunsets, ships at sea, sandy beaches and night skies, good vantage points are suggested and marked on maps. Information on famous past residents, leisure and sport, culture and visitor information as well as coastal cafes are also included. Nearby sights, such as the Pedestrian Tyne Tunnel, Delaval Hall, Tynemouth Piers, North Shields Fish Quay are also covered.
