The Shop MEC app, by Mountain Equipment Co-op (MEC), is a complete store in your pocket. Its all you need to find the outdoor gear and apparel thats right for you. See new products, search by activity or category, or browse by photo to find what you want. Get detailed product info, read gear reviews or specs, and purchase easily from your phone. Other great features of the MEC shopping app: * Read gear reviews and find top-rated products. * Detect your nearest MEC store and locate it by foot, bike, or car. You can also check stock levels before your visit. * Scan barcodes while in MEC stores to quickly read up on product specs and info. * Make or view your personal Wish List that’s automatically synchronized with mec.ca. * Share products via Facebook, Twitter, or e-mail. * French support is built-in. The app auto-detects your iOS language settings, displaying either the English or French version of the app automatically.

Overhaul?

Why would you get rid of all the categories and make searching more difficult? This was a far more user-friendly app before this update!

Delete the App then re-Install it.

The updated App Crashed until I deleted the App from my iPhone, then re-installed it. Now it works perfectly.

Horrible Update

As others have stated, deleting and reinstalling allows you to actually access the app instead of receiving the somethings wrong message. But its terrible. Only 3 categories, one simply saying gear and grouping almost 9k items together. Huh? Who approved this?

Only 3 categories and no subcategories?? Doesnt make any sense, the old app was better for finding stuff... Sure you can refine your search but only once and not all of the brands etc.. are showing up in the refine lists ... App is glitchy and crashes, I have already uninstalled and reinstalled the app once to help fix this. App was so much better before this upgrade. It appears there are multiple issues with this upgrade.

Logged in. So far so good. Then tried looking for something and I saw only three categories? This is useless. Do I need to page through 10000 items or try to go through the "refine" option over and over? Please bring back old menus!
