Description
The Symbio® Service and Installation free app has all that you need to start up and service a Symbio 700 controller without a PC or other software service tool.
The app connects a Symbio 700 controller using Bluetooth BLE or Trane Connect Secure Remote Access when available.
The app also supports Symbio 800 chiller and IntelliPak controllers using Wi-Fi or Trane Connect Secure Remote Access to set up, monitor and service equipment.
Using the app, you can
• View the equipment status, alarms, and diagnostics
• Configure the controller to match the installed equipment options (Symbio 700 only,)
• View and edit setpoints and other operational parameters,
• View and edit schedules,
• Configure the controller to communicate to a BAS or Trane Connect for remote access
• Back up and restore controllers
• Update firmware from a USB drive
• LLID binding and Manual Control Settings (Symbio 800 only)
• View data logs
• Initiate test modes (Symbio 700 only)

New Features
• Combined Compressor Vi manual control and Compressor Vi manual command into a single option to prevent conflicts.
• LLID binding is now blocked when another tool such as Tracer TU or TD7 display are already in LLID binding mode.
• Added support for Large Splits (model RA ) using Symbio 800 controllers.
• Support for Dual Protocol has been added for Symbio 800. This feature allows both BACnet and Modbus protocols to be used simultaneously.
• To create a cleaner look, we are now using collapsible lists on the Status, Settings, and Field Startup pages.
• In response to field requests, we have moved the Reset Diagnostics button from the Service menu to the Alarm page for Symbio 700 and 800.
• For consistency, we have changed "Apply" to "Save" throughout the app.
Bugs Fixed
• Check mark popup appears unnecessarily on repeated connections to the same paired controller.
• Inconsistent behavior between Symbio 700 and Symbio 800 IP configuration.
• iOS hangs when iPhone global setting "Allow apps request to track" is disabled.
• New Symbio 700 hardware version was not recognized when restoring backups.
• Manual IP address could be set with no DNS server, leading to an "Unknown error".
• Unable to connect remotely to a device that requires user authentication.
• When phone is set for Spanish or French, Primary Heating Source configuration options are incorrect. (Electric Heat displayed as Drain Pan Overflow).
Known Issues
• While editing the protocol configuration, if we switch to a different protocol while the save is disabled, it cannot be re-enabled by entering valid values. The workaround is to leave the protocol configuration screen and then reopen it.
• For iOS devices only: When connected via Bluetooth and attempting to restore a backup from a USB stick, the Restore Details page may not appear before the restore process begins. However, the restore is still successful.
• When remotely connected, the search function on the Unit List page does not work for Organizations. However, the search does work for Buildings and Equipment within an Organization.
