The purpose of this app is to assist users in memorizing anything they are having difficulty remembering. The name and strategy of the app comes from the theories of Ebbinghaus, a scientist who determined that our minds can more efficiently remember information if we are exposed to that information at set intervals. The app was developed to assist you in taking in vocabulary words or other information at predetermined intervals. For example, if you were to click the “Review” button and created a new card that says " apple = apple". after 5 minutes, 20 minutes , 1 hour later, the next day , two days , four days later , a week later, an alarm will go off reminding you to review the word, phrase, etc. By the end of the process, after all the reminders have been triggered, you will have achieved memorization. Based on our experience with the app so far, the most important and instrumental reminders are within the first 20 minutes. If possible, be sure to carefully review the card/information during those intervals to ensure successful memorization. The sample data that has been included is for users who are seeking to learn English. We understand that English speaking users will not necessarily need that data so we’ve also included data for memorizing world flags. In addition to being a language learning app, Three Box may be customized for other purposes as well. For example, you can create custom cards to study for a driving test, your final exams, professional certifications, workplace tests, etc. As long as you format the data as described in the instructions, you can use Three Box to study anything! We developed Three Box as a tool for assisting in the memorization of all types of information and with that idea in mind we will continue to expand it’s feature offerings.
