XtraCredit allows you to earn CME credit as you find answers online to your clinical questions.
You can earn credit for your research on such popular sites as OvidSP, National Guideline Clearinghouse, PubMed, DailyMed, Google Scholar and hundreds of major medical journals.
XtraCredit lets you use text or dictation to document learning activities whether you search on your phone, on your computer, in online journals and even on EMR clinical decision support systems.
To earn credit you must document the rationale for your search, indicate where you found an answer in an approved resource, and describe how this search impacted your practice.
CME credit is provided exclusively by the Lippincott CME Institute, Inc. Each completed search is eligible for 0.5 AMA PRA Category 1 Credit™. See the application for complete details.
The XtraCredit application is free. Each completed learning activity costs $4.99.
How it works:
Conduct research online through any of hundreds of approved resources (listed in app). Dictate or type the question you are researching, your findings, the source of your findings, and the impact of the research on your practice. Then "Submit."
Confirmation of your credit will be e-mailed to you. Certificates or transcripts are available at www.xtracredit.com.
Your first CME certificate is complimentary.
