In an emergency, any alert can be crucial for authorities to pinpoint where you are. With the boom in the use of social networks and text messaging, emergency personnel and local authorities can now use online profiles and cell phone usage to retrace a persons last steps before an emergency took place. It is important that no matter what happens, our friends and loved ones are informed at all times.
With a click of a button, Social Alert lets you send out a message to your friends and relatives in case of an emergency or crime. Integrating with social networks most of us already use such as Facebook and Twitter, you can send out a custom emergency message with your exact location, helping authorities pinpoint exactly where you are. The application can also send a message via text message to any mobile phone.
What if you are unable to send out the message at the exact moment it happens? Social Alerts got you covered. It allows you to set the emergency message with a countdown timer, which if not deactivated, sends out the message automatically. This is very useful for when you do not trust your surroundings and want to make sure you can be found in the event of an emergency.
