Featuring: •Information about stroke •Instructions for how to spot a stroke F.A.S.T. •A stroke symptoms video •Other helpful resources The Spot a Stroke F.A.S.T. app The American Stroke Association is proud to introduce the “Spot a Stroke F.A.S.T.” app, now available in English and Spanish for free download. Stroke is a leading cause of disability and number five cause of death in the United States, behind diseases of the heart and cancer. Approximately 795,000 individuals will have a stroke each year; of these, 167,000 individuals will die and more will suffer a major disability. F.A.S.T. is an easy way to remember the sudden signs of a stroke. When you can spot the signs, youll know quickly that you need to call 9-1-1 for help. This is important because the sooner a stroke victim gets to the hospital, the sooner theyll get treatment. And that can make a remarkable difference in their recovery. Not great, needs work

Take quiz doesnt take you to a quiz. Pressing F doesnt take you to Face. Etc. some basic reprogramming could make it a lot better. The glitches could really flummox someone trying to use it in a hurry, which is what youd be doing in an emergency.

Helpful info but needs improving

The idea of this app is excellent but the following needs improvement: when clicking on "Award winning hospitals" near you it shows you a little pin on a map. How is that helpful I ask. One needs the name and telephone and driving directions to the nearest hospital so we can drive our loved one to that nearest hospital as fast as possible. Please make this crucial update!

There is absolutely no point to this app as it offers nothing thats not readily available on you tube or online. Probably made as just a publicity stunt

Needs improvement

There are two reasons to use such an app 1) stroke symptoms 2) locate a stroke ACCREDITED hospital. To call them "award winning" is huge error. I want an accredited hospital not award winning

The list of certified hospitals needs to be updated. I live in Napa, CA and have two hospitals within 15 miles that are certified as Primary Stroke Hospitals yet do not display on this app on my phone. This old information could compromise a person’s survivability.
