VerseWise Bible® (Douay-Rheims, Challoner Revision) is the Catholic Bible (with deuterocanon and notes) at your fingertips. It is optimized for easy, convenient reading. Douay-Rheims is an English translation of the Latin Vulgate. It was the Bible of the majority of English-speaking Catholics well into the 20th century and is still popular among those favoring a more traditional translation. VerseWise Bible DR includes the 73 books of the Roman Catholic canon. It uses the original introductions to each book and footnotes. Excellent app... all that you need

This is the most functional app containing the complete Douay-Rheims text on iTunes. Ive tried the rest at the time of this review but this is the only one that has a word search and landscape mode. The "Bible Douay-Rheims (Catholic)" for $2.99 is also very good. It lacks the word search, but it is well organized and has a nice look. This app is much more straightforward.

Love that it has all the books...love that it is reasonably priced...would REALLY love to see the same in an NAB version: The NAB is so much easier to understand... Unfortunately, the only NAB for iPhone right now (BibleReader app) is $27.99... Please make an NAB in your DR price range....Thanks!

An incredible Catholic Bible application that won’t break the bank. I am enormously happy with this application and recommend it to everyone searching for a Catholic Bible. I no longer need to carry my heavy bible everywhere I go, I have it in the palm of my hand. As an added benefit, VerseWise gives great customer support. Prior to purchase, I contacted VerseWise and they were extremely helpful in answering my questions. Thanks Bruce!

Great navigation tools and hints

First - its great to have another Catholic Bible for the iphone. I also really like the hints and tips the application provides and how easy it is to navigate between chapters. I appreciate the thought behind the design of the app.
