VerseWise Bible® (Revised Standard Version, Catholic Edition) is the Catholic Bible (with deuterocanon and notes) at your fingertips. It is optimized for easy, convenient reading. The RSV is, as its preface states, "an authorized revision of the American Standard Version, published in 1901, which was a revision of the King James Version, published in 1611." Its goal was to: - Maintain the beauty of the King James - Update the text to more modern English usage - Take advantage of modern scholarship and the increased number of Bible manuscripts available The Catholic Edition, also commonly known as the "Ignatius Bible", was "prepared for the use of Catholics by a committee of the Catholic Biblical Association of Great Britain" and "published with ecclesiastical approval". It includes the deuterocanon (seven full books with additions to two others), and explanatory notes. Fantastic study translation. Limited but solid translation notes with easy access direct from the passage youre viewing I could go on but if you value the RSVCE on your iPhone, get it while you can at this kind of price.

This app was recommended to me by a friend, I had been reviewing various Bible apps and couldnt figure out which would be the most appropriate. This one has excellent features and is easy to use, Im very happy with it.

Easy to navigate, official accurate Catholic translation, convenient access to footnotes, speedy software, excellent options, good choice of fonts, etc., etc. Take advantage of this wonderful spiritual blessing!

This is a well-done app. Easy to use and easy to read. The notes are very helpful and the RSV is my favorite translation. Thanks for putting another Catholic Bible in the app store!

Incredible! I did not expect to find my #1 translation so soon after purchasing my iphone. The RSV-CE is the recommended translation for serious study, and to have it at my fingertips like this is amazing. Highly recommended for the serious Catholics iphone app collection!!

Ive been patiently waiting for the RSV-CE for months now. Its finally arrived and thankfully its moderately prices. For all my fellow Catholics out there, let it be known that the App store is really a gold mine. So far the Ive found the Complete Catechism, The Breviary with daily Mass Readings, the Rosary, now the RSV-CE. Someone please make an app with the Church Fathers and Councils.
