If it werent for the fact that you receive two completely opposite readings depending on the use of NOAA vs GFS Algorithm,.. I mean literally, one will say North and the other South,.. And if the developer had ever offered an explanation as to why, I could love this App. But you do and he/she didnt. I dont know much about weather language and googling NOAA, etc., didnt help much either.

Simple app with good content. Worth every bit of the $0.99! Love the remote feature for wind and temp.

Ok, i keep finding reasons to use this. It is simply AWESOME! As a professional pilot, I can very quickly get the winds at the airport. As someone who loves to sail, I click on my local lake and get the winds and temp. As someone who loves golf, I check the winds at the course.... Seriously, this app is so cool!

I bought this app assuming that it would allow the user to enter an address anywhere in the world and the software would take you there and give wind info (I fly model aircraft, so winds at the field 25 miles away are important). No. You need to find the remote site you want by hand - following roads (dont make any wrong turns!) until you find the location you want. Unless youre a pilot familiar with tracking ground features from the air, this can be very difficult. Add an address search and well see if this app is worth it. Right now, as is, I wasted a dollar.

Seems to show the wind speed in any point (which is exactly what I was looking for). However, having just a satellite view is not enough - it is very hard to figure out where you are when you scroll and dont see labels. Author, please add the ability to switch between map and satellite the way standard google map does. Another improvement could be showing the grid of wind speeds and directions overlaid on the map instead of having to center and click the "get wind" button. There is an accepted standard of displaying wind using "wind arrows".

This app. delivers exactly what it promises. I can navigate through the app. without moving my phone. It is nice to see the temperature along with wind factor. The lat & lon information is cool. Waiting for the author to add additional features in the next version.
