The battles of First and Second Manassas are covered in detail and the app also directs you to hidden Civil War treasures in Front Royal and Winchester.
This app is from the makers of the best-selling “Gettysburg 150” app that was nominated for an Apple 2012 design award. Virginia Civil War 1 has a useful feature that enables you to open any location in Apple maps. You can now select a battlefield, press “Open in Apple Maps” and receive driving, walking, or public transportation directions to the battlefield. Please note, you must have Apple iOS 6.0 or later for the "Open in Apple maps feature".
In addition to the map view, the app also has a satellite view to help you navigate the terrain and see how it affected the outcome of each battle. So download the app now and walk in the footsteps of history on America’s hallowed ground.
