Cardiac Risk Assist is an application that aids in calculating the 10-year and lifetime risks for atherosclerotic cardiovascular disease (ASCVD) based on the information provided by the user: age, gender, race, total cholesterol, HDL cholesterol, systolic pressure, and additional parameters. Cardiac Risk Assist retrieves 10-year risk estimates by utilizing the new Pooled Cohort Equations developed by the Risk Assessment Work Group. These risk estimates replaced the Framingham Risk Score from the previous guidelines. Cardiac Risk Assist was tested thoroughly with normal, extremes, and abnormal data to ensure risk estimates from Cardiac Risk Assist matched with CV Risk Calculator (excel calculator developed by AHA/ACC). It was validated using randomized patient data, n=100. 10-year risk and lifetime risk were similar between the two applications. Simple and user-friendly with an intuitive graphical user interface for data entry, let Cardiac Risk Assist assist you in your daily practice! “Concepts for [ASCVD Risk Estimator] was adapted from the Cardiac Risk Assist App developed by Tin T.D. Stupid app

I cant believe anyone would even use this app. Its so unrealistic and it doesnt even have all the important factors listed to give a complete and accurate diagnosis. If youre a physician and youre using this app you need to reevaluate your ability to provide your patients care.

It calculated the risk, displays it nicely. Easily access the boiled down recommendations and a list of statins. All the info you were looking for in one spot. Brilliant!
